Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves analyzing user needs, drafting operation concepts, and using high-level architectures to develop system requirements.

The candidate will guide requirements, advise on approaches, and conduct feasibility studies in a collaborative, Agile/DevOps environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT system implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is required.
• IAT Level 1 or higher required.
• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs, draft concept of operations documents, and develop system requirements specifications.
• Guide users in formulating requirements and advise on alternative approaches.
• Plan and conduct system verification activities; participate in design and development activities.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems; manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and diagnose and resolve problems; configure UNIX and Windows operating systems and network components.
