Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the Cyber Intelligence team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and leads multiple development teams to build scalable, real-time data processing systems for national security.

The candidate will shape system architecture, guide best practices, and ensure high-quality releases in a demanding top-secret environment, collaborating with customers and engineers across programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Twenty years experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining complex, scalable software systems for real-time analytics and intelligence operations.
• Leading and mentoring multiple development teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Conducting software analysis, testing, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborating on system architecture and design decisions, balancing custom development with COTS/GOTS solutions.
• Resolving critical software issues and ensuring robust integration of system components.
• Providing rapid prototyping of software for government mission areas and delivering source code prototypes.
