Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site Systems Operations Engineer in Las Cruces, NM, requiring a TS/SCI clearance. You will manage baseline software and system installations, monitor performance, and support 24/7 operations to maintain mission readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional coordination, incident investigation, and generating performance reports for leadership. A STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are expected, with relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience supporting systems engineering, operations, or maintenance activities.
Experience troubleshooting complex systems and aiding operational recovery.
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
Active and transferable TS/SCI security clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

Manage baseline software and system installations into operational environments.
Monitor, track, and report system availability, health, and performance metrics.
Troubleshoot operational issues and support system recovery to maintain mission readiness.
Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc availability and performance reports for leadership.
Represent the program during technical meetings, reviews, and customer briefings.
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering to plan, schedule, and execute activities.
Monitor workloads and ensure mission priorities are met.
Provide backup support to technical leadership during meetings and briefings.
Support 24/7 operational activities, including occasional off-hours calls.
Preferred experience in CI/CD, DevSecOps, and space/ISR domains is a plus.
