Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is seeking an on-site Systems Engineer in Las Cruces, NM. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a current Polygraph and will involve managing software and system installations, performance tracking, and 24/7 operational support to ensure mission readiness.

You will generate regular reports, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and represent the program in meetings with government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting complex software/hardware systems.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph before start date.
• Ability to work independently in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage baseline software and system installations into operational environments.
• Monitor, track, and report system availability, health, and performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, investigate anomalies, and support system recovery efforts to maintain mission readiness.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc availability and performance reports for program leadership and government customers.
• Represent the program during technical interchange meetings, operational reviews, and customer briefings.
• Support the resolution of systems engineering, integration, and operational issues across multiple engineering organizations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan, schedule, and execute operational activities.
• Monitor, track, and manage operational workloads while ensuring mission priorities are achieved.
• Provide backup support to technical leadership during customer meetings, operational reviews, and technical briefings.
• Support 24/7 operational activities, including occasional off-hours call-in support as required.
