Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) group in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer to design, develop and integrate software-focused systems for missile programs. The role requires embedding software design and test, managing requirements, and collaborating with software, hardware and customer teams to ensure the system works first time.

This onsite position demands MBSE, requirements verification, and strong modeling using Cameo.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience in MBSE, Requirements Development/Management/Verification or Integration and Test for software products
• Masters/PhD in Engineering, Math or Physics preferred
• Familiarity with Agile, MBSE, and Digital Engineering
• Strong communication and customer collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain system and subsystem level requirements for embedded software and test systems
• Model the system and development and production processes using Cameo
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts
• Work with Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on program tasks
• Participate in customer technical conversations
• Mentor new team members and share Systems Engineering skills
