Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative software-centric missile system solutions. You will ensure embedded software, configuration logic and test systems meet requirements and integrate across teams.

Role involves MBSE, requirements development, verification, and collaboration with customer stakeholders. Onsite position with potential travel; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Development, Requirements Management, Requirements Verification, or Integration and Test for software products.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications for embedded software, configurable logic and/or test systems software.
• Model the system and the system development and production processes using Cameo.
• Conduct Trade Studies and present results to customers.
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed.
• Work closely with the Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on a variety of program technical tasks.
• Participate in technical conversations with the customer.
• Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the software centric program capabilities.
• Help to onboard new team members, mentor, and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills
