Job summary
RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer to lead embedded software requirements, MBSE, and system-level verification across missile programs. You will model processes, perform trade studies, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure first-time-right performance for warfighter systems.
The role is onsite at the Tucson campus with potential travel. Strong background in MBSE, C/C++, Python, and DOORS is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
- Experience in Systems Engineering and MBSE.
- Experience with software requirements and integration.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain system and subsystem requirements for embedded software and test systems.
- Model the system and development processes using Cameo.
- Conduct trade studies and present results to customers.
- SE contributor for verification/validation and testing activities.
- Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Test teams on technical tasks.
- Engage with the customer in technical discussions.
- Mentor new team members in Systems Engineering.
