Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Systems Engineer - Level 4 to drive advanced communications system design, architecture trades, and verification of requirements across hardware and software elements.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering degree with 8+ years of experience (or MS with 4+ years, PhD with 4 years), MBSE/DOORS familiarity, and an active TS/SCI clearance. Travel up to 10% is possible. Relocation may be available.

Qualifications

• Requirements include a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with sufficient experience.
• Experience with system architecture design, trade studies, and performance analysis and simulation.
• Technical work with antenna, RF, digital and microelectronic technologies.
• Strong communication systems and link analysis capabilities, including RF/digital hardware systems.
• MBSE experience and knowledge of developing standards and processes; active clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform architecture trades, design analysis, and performance modeling.
• Provide systems engineering support for hardware development efforts.
• Conduct trade studies, requirements definition and allocation to units.
• Lead Internal Design Review planning, development, and presentations.
• Plan unit verification activities and test readiness.
