Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Systems Engineer - Level 4 to advance complex communications systems. You will plan architecture trades, verify requirements, and provide engineering support across hardware development; travel may be required.

This role demands active TS/SCI security status and your ability to obtain SCI clearance if needed. Qualifications include a BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience (or MS with 4 years, or PhD with 4 years),

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience, or MS with 4+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Experience in system architecture, trade studies, performance analysis and simulation.
• Experience with antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronic technologies.
• Strong communications systems knowledge and link analysis throughout RF/digital hardware.
• MBSE or DOORS experience; ability to manage requirements and lifecycle.
• Active US government TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform architecture trades, design analysis and performance modeling.
• Provide systems engineering support for hardware development.
• Conduct trade studies, define requirements and allocate to units.
• Lead internal design review planning, development and presentations.
• Perform unit verification planning.
