Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, California, is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 2 to join our advanced communications systems program. The role requires hands-on analysis, architecture trades, and requirements to support hardware development.
You will perform design reviews, requirement allocations, and verification planning while collaborating across functional teams. Primary emphasis is on RF/communication systems engineering with eligibility for the required security
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience or MS in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with system architecture design, trade studies, and performance analysis/simulation.
- Technical experience with hardware development using antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronic technologies.
- Strong communication systems and link analysis; RF/digital hardware experience; antenna theory familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Perform architecture trades, design analysis, and performance modeling.
- Provide systems engineering support for hardware development efforts.
- Perform trade studies, requirement definition and allocation to units/sub-units.
- Plan and present Internal Design Reviews and verification activities.
- Plan unit verification activities.
