Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 4 in Redondo Beach, CA to drive architecture activities and MBSE-driven design across capability threads. You will develop and maintain system artifacts, CONOPS, and operational concepts to ensure a cohesive architecture that meets mission objectives.

The role requires collaboration, strong communication, and adherence to SBLE/MBSE workflows while working within a security-cleared environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience OR
• Master's degree in STEM with 6+ years of engineering experience OR
• PhD in STEM with 4+ years of engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Work with systems engineering stakeholders across capability threads and operations to develop and refine advanced system architectures and operational concepts that align with mission objectives.
• Develop and maintain architecture artifacts (Technical Description Document, CONOPS/OPSCON) that contain a detailed, comprehensive overview of the entire system design and operations.
• Support mission planning and execution by ensuring all documentation reflects current system status and operational intent.
• Support trade studies to evaluate design decisions and defining the resulting architecture.
• Several efforts embrace a MBSE approach and leverage MBSE tools, methodologies, and workflows to develop, maintain, and validate system models as the technical baseline for the effort.
• Support the Systems Engineering team to define and document the system design, requirements, interfaces, and mission/operational concept within the MBSE tool suite.
