Job summary

The United States Senate is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Integrated Operations Center to provide day-to-day operational support for our ServiceNow environment. You will focus on CMDB and ITOM while assisting with ITAM and ITOM governance and upgrades.

This role collaborates with the ServiceNow Platform team and our cybersecurity team to ensure applications run smoothly, data remains accurate, and users receive timely support.

Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Vulnerability Response, ITAM and ITOM.
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide production support.
• Collaborate with Platform and Cybersecurity teams on platform changes and vulnerability processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of CMDB, Vulnerability Response, ITAM, and ITOM, with emphasis on CMDB and ITOM.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve production support requests, and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with the cybersecurity team to support the Vulnerability Response process within ServiceNow.
• Coordinate with the ServiceNow Platform team on issues that require platform changes or enhancements.
• Maintain documentation, develop support procedures, and help train team members on operational processes.
• Create reports and dashboards and recommend improvements to support business operations.
• Monitor CMDB health for correctness, completeness, and compliance.
• Remove duplicate CIs and resolve stale records.
• Adhere to organisational CMDB governance and policies.
• Maintain Discovery schedules.

The successful applicant will join our team and provide day-to-day operational support for our ServiceNow environment. This role focuses on supporting CMDB and Vulnerability Response while assisting with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM). The applicant will work closely with our ServiceNow Platform team, which is responsible for platform development, governance, and upgrades, as well as our cybersecurity team, which manages the vulnerability scanning tools. Your focus will be to ensure our ServiceNow applications run smoothly, data remains accurate, and users receive timely support.

Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day operation of CMDB, Vulnerability Response, ITAM, and ITOM, with emphasis on CMDB and ITOM and less on ITAM and Vulnerability Response. The Vulnerability Response work is mostly related to CMDB.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve production support requests, and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with the cybersecurity team to support the Vulnerability Response process within ServiceNow.
