Job summary

GEM Technologies, a NYC-area managed services provider, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to maintain and secure IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Windows-based systems. You will design, implement, and optimize solutions for multiple clients.

This hybrid role is based in the NYC area with on-site client visits and remote work options. Candidates should have extensive experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and scripting, with a record of delivering complex IT

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
At least five years as a Senior Systems Engineer delivering complex IT projects.
Strong systems administration, network, security and cloud computing skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain server and cloud-based computing solutions.
Provide expert technical support to clients, resolving issues.
Analyze and optimize system performance, identify improvements.
Create and maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in systems engineering.
Experience with cybersecurity, including firewalls and best practices.
Experience with disaster recovery and regaining access and functionality to IT infrastructure.
Hybrid position – Based in NYC area, occasional client visits to NYC metro locations.
