Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Dallas, TX seeks a Sr Engineer - Systems Design & Implementation to lead complex public safety software deployments, including body cameras, in-car video, and real-time command center systems, bridging design and on-site execution.

You will own the technical solution, run requirements sessions, deliver as-built docs, train customers, and coordinate with sales, PMs, and engineering across CJIS-compliant projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of Engineering, IT, Public Safety, and/or Military experience OR 8+ years of Engineering, IT, Public Safety, and/or Military experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real time command center software.
• Responsible for being the technical solution owner of a project.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and solicit system implementation team for design.
• Conduct customer facing technical requirements discovery sessions for system configuration.
• Builds relationships with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and key technical subject matter expert teams within the organization.
• Ability to provide customer product training (both in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain the infrastructure supporting wireless communications systems at Client site
