Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Engineer - Systems Design & Implementation to lead the technical delivery of complex public safety software, including body cameras, in-car video, and real-time command center systems. You will bridge high-level design with on-site deployment and ensure seamless integration of wireless infrastructure.

Responsibilities include owning project solutions, delivering as-built documentation, and coordinating with Sales, PMs, engineering, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Public Safety software application system implementation experience.
• Computer hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP networking and design experience (wired and wireless).
• Background check and/or security clearance as necessary.
• LTE Network Modem/Router background.
• Technical writing experience for a nontechnical audience.
• Knowledge of Radio Voice Communications Networks.
• Knowledge of Motorola Solutions Public Safety Applications.
• Knowledge of Public Safety operations.
• CJIS Security Policy fingerprint background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real-time command center software.
• Technical owner of project solutions.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and coordinate with design/implementation teams.
• Conduct customer-facing technical requirements discovery sessions.
• Build relationships with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and key SMEs.
• Provide customer product training (in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain wireless infrastructure at client sites.
