Job summary

Blue Origin, a leader in lunar exploration technologies, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for the Human Landing System. You will own the requirements, safety, and verification baseline for a major vehicle area, and mentor engineers across cross-functional teams.

Relocation provided and travel up to 25% will support cross-site and partner coordination. This role emphasizes lean, tool-driven workflows and hands-on ownership of system safety and V&V.

Qualifications

• Lead requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation for a major vehicle area.
• Own verification and validation strategy and lead anomaly investigations.
• Develop lean, tool-driven processes for safety and V&V.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical direction across IPTs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior systems engineer and Responsible Engineer owning requirements and safety baselines.
• Lead architecture decisions and flow-down from requirements to design.
• Direct verification & validation approach and resolve anomalies.
• Set disposition for variances and deviations with risk-based standards.
• Collaborate across IPTs to ensure safety and compliance across the vehicle.
