Job summary

Phoenix Defense LLC in Ohio seeks a Senior Systems Engineer / Lead Engineer to serve as the program's primary technical representative for engineering matters. You will provide technical leadership across systems and software engineering activities and work closely with the Government's lead engineer on JSE planning, integration, testing, and execution.

The role requires directing engineering teams, reviewing work products, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Master of Science or engineering degree with 8+ years experience
Bachelor of Science or engineering degree with 12+ years experience
Secret clearance required; Top Secret desired; eligible for Top Secret
Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Familiarity with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) and Virtual Air Threat Solution (VATS) preferred
Strong SysML proficiency and MBSE tooling experience
Technical leadership experience across multiple teams

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical point of contact between Contractor and Government engineering leadership
Provide technical leadership across systems engineering, software engineering, model integration, and test activities
Support program increment planning with technical scope, estimates, dependencies, risks and execution
Lead development and maintenance of system architectures, designs, and interfaces
Review and approve engineering work products for accuracy and completeness
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
Lead integration and troubleshooting of aircraft subsystem models within JSE environment
