Job summary

San Manuel is seeking a Systems Engineer II to design and maintain the Yuhaaviatam infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable operations in Highland, CA. You will drive performance improvements and disaster recovery capabilities while leading project delivery.

Candidates should have six years of systems administration experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong knowledge of SQL, VMware, Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and scripting with PowerShell or VBScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of systems administration experience is required.
• Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engineers’ designs for the installation of infrastructure projects and guides system initiatives. Research solutions for continual improvement of the IT infrastructure.
• Leads project teams to implement the technology architecture components of a solution and provides ongoing assurance of technology solutions through to delivery.
• Understands business requirements and identifies potential solutions to meet these needs as well as conduct appropriate research and deliver recommendations.
• Participates in purchase justifications and projects benefit analysis. Analyzes current support contracts for cost savings and engineers substitute products.
• Performs incident, problem, and change management tasks (including root cause analysis, change requests, and incident management).
• Leads troubleshooting efforts for infrastructure issues with vendors and team members; creates and maintains run books and diagrams.
• Supports essential enterprise clients and emergencies by performing on-call duties on a rotating basis.
• Designs and compiles scripts and code (PowerShell and/or Python) to streamline operations and maintains security posture via patching.
