Job summary

CU SoCal in Anaheim Hills, CA is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to lead hands-on infrastructure work and coordinate with teams to deliver reliable technology services.

You will design, configure servers and applications, manage VMware vSphere, SANs, Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and backup processes, with a hybrid-remote schedule (1 day in-office, 4 days remote).

Qualifications

• 8+ years in system administration (not help desk).
• Experience designing and implementing Azure cloud services (Entra, Purview, InTune, Defender) or equivalents on AWS/GCP.
• Hybrid cloud design integrating on-prem with PaaS/SaaS services.
• Excellent communication, ability to simplify complex tech for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead multifaceted infrastructure projects across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Install, configure and manage VMware vSphere environments and SANs.
• Manage Office 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security settings.
• Document IS procedures and respond to audits with system logs and performance data.
