Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP (JMM) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to architect and maintain critical infrastructure across networking and Windows Server environments. You will lead complex projects, manage SSL/TLS certificates, and collaborate with attorneys and admin teams to ensure security, performance, and scalability.

The role requires expertise in virtualization, network design, routing protocols, and disaster recovery, with a strong focus on security best practices and PKI

Qualifications

• Scripting and automation knowledge with PowerShell, Python, or SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a systems administrator/engineer.
• Experience with MDM and application deployment tools such as MS Intune, PDQ or Kaseya.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, VxRail, NAS).
• Design and manage Layer 2/Layer 3 networks with advanced switching/routing.
• Configure routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, static routes).
• Manage VLANs, STP, and LACP/EtherChannel for redundancy.
• Secure networks with firewall policies, NAT, and VPN management (Palo Alto, Meraki).
• Lead SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and PKI/CA administration.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance across WAN/LAN, fiber, security layers.
• Collaborate with security teams on segmentation and vulnerability remediation.
• Oversee Windows Server environments (2012–2019) and high availability.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and OUs.
• Maintain internal infrastructure (devices, printers, phones, intranet).
• Ensure Domain Controller replication across sites; manage clustering for file/SQL servers.
• Administer Hybrid Exchange environments and mail flow policies.
• Implement and manage patch management tools; ensure compliance.
• Lead backup and disaster recovery strategies using Veeam.
