Job summary

JCB is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead administration, support, and optimization of its IT infrastructure. You will ensure reliability, security, performance, and scalability across servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments while driving strategic initiatives and technical leadership.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in enterprise IT, with deep Windows Server, virtualization, storage, DR, and networking expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
Minimum 10 years of experience managing data center, MDF/IDF, and infrastructure hardware environments.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.
Advanced experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
Strong understanding of networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests as required by law.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Manage Active Directory environments, including Group Policy administration.
Administer and maintain virtualized infrastructure platforms, including VMware and Hyper‑V.
Configure, manage, and support enterprise storage solutions and disk storage environments.
Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance across servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
Provide technical leadership and infrastructure expertise for business and IT projects.
Support and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki network administration.
Create, maintain, and update infrastructure architecture documentation and SOPs.
Provide Tier III support for critical incidents and on-call rotations.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure service and support expectations are met.
Support MDF/IDF environments, including racking, stacking, hardware installations, inventory management, and environmental monitoring.
