Job summary

MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to focus on Optical Modules, AECs, and Data Center Applications. The role involves validating ASICs, developing test automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept through production.

You will lead characterization of high-speed interfaces, develop reference boards, and support debugging of high-speed links in lab and field environments, enabling robust AI-centric data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years, or PhD.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces used in data center/AI systems is required.
• Background in signal integrity and high-speed PCB design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage validation and analysis of ASICs for optical modules, AECs, and data center AI workloads.
• Develop test automation and emulation tests from concept to production with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with design, systems, and hardware teams for pre-silicon and silicon validation of high-performance data center and AI applications.
• Lead activities for characterization of high-speed serial interfaces and re-timer designs.
• Develop reference boards and test platforms for evaluation and customer support in cloud-scale environments.
• Support debugging and optimization of high-speed links in lab and field environments.
