Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Goleta, CA to lead environmental test activities on-site. The role requires planning and executing hardware tests (vibration, thermal, altitude, humidity) and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet program commitments.

The candidate will oversee lab operations, ensure compliance with LOP, FOE, ESD policies, and ITAR-related requirements, and support audits and continuous improvement initiatives while interacting with senior management.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct hardware tests including vibration, thermal, altitude, and shock.
• Prepare test plans, schedules, and archival technical records.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and customers to meet technical, financial, and scheduling goals.
• Oversee lab operations, ensuring compliance with Lab Operating Procedures (LOP), FOE, ESD policies, and access management.
• Develop corrective actions and communicate plans with program management.
