Applied Research Associates, Inc. seeks a senior systems engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise Windows and Linux server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

You will work with Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Network Operations, and Solutions Architecture to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable services. The role emphasizes automation, advanced troubleshooting, DR readiness, and leadership of infrastructure initiatives.

Formación

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Engineer and support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV.
• Plan and maintain highly available infrastructure with redundancy and DR capabilities.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, cert services, and MFA integrations.
• Automate provisioning and operations using PowerShell, Ansible, and IaC.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation and sustainment.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, storage, OS, and security issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Manage backups, recovery, and business continuity technologies.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across IT teams.
• Ensure compliance with security benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
