Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ team on-site. This role focuses on software-centric systems, embedded software design, MBSE, and rigorous verification/validation across missile programs.

You will manage system requirements, model processes with Cameo, and lead trade studies while coordinating with Systems, Software, and Test teams. A clear path for mentoring and growth in SE is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years engineering experience
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience with MBSE, Requirements Development/Management/Verification or I&T for software products
• Preferred: MS or PhD in Engineering/Math/Physics; Agile/MBSE/Digital Engineering
• Experience presenting analytical/technical information to stakeholders
• Knowledge of system safety, reliability, and configuration management
• Experience with test facilities, integration and telemetry tools
• Security clearance required; US citizenship via DoD rules

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain system and subsystem level requirements for embedded software, configurable logic, and test systems software
• Model system development and production processes using Cameo
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers
• SE contributor for verification and validation efforts
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on program tasks
• Engage in technical conversations with customers
• Develop expertise as go-to Systems Engineer for software-centric programs
• Mentor new team members in core SE skills
