Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead embedded software requirements, integration, and verification for missile systems. You will manage system and subsystem requirements, provide SE oversight during integration and test, and contribute to verification activities with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience in MBSE, Requirements Development, Requirements Management, Requirements Verification, or Integration and Test for software products

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications for embedded software, configurable logic and/or test systems software
• Model the system and the system development and production processes using Cameo
• Conduct Trade Studies and present results to customers
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed
• Work closely with the Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on a variety of program technical tasks
• Participate in technical conversations with the customer
• Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the software centric program capabilities
• Help to onboard new team members, mentor, and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills
