Job summary

Akina Inc is seeking a senior System Engineer to lead requirements, architecture, and integration for complex DoD-focused systems in a high-security environment.

The role demands deep DoDAF knowledge, strong Linux CLI skills, and extensive experience with Jira Service Desk. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and the engineer will guide multi-team efforts through lifecycle phases.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of Systems Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline; 5 years of additional SE experience may substitute for a degree.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph.
• Strong Linux CLI expertise and Jira Service Desk administration experience.
• Experience delivering requirements, design, and verification artifacts across large DoD-like programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with DoDAF/SOA architectures.
• Develop and review System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Coordinate cross-discipline actions and drive cross-stakeholder alignment.
• Allocate risk and manage changes across the system lifecycle.
• Develop, review, and maintain system design and verification plans; support DoD C&A processes.
