Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to deploy and sustain enterprise DoD cyber defense platforms within secure environments. You will bridge bare‑metal hardware, virtualization, orchestration, and telemetry pipelines to deliver resilient, scalable systems.

You will design administrative platforms, implement DoD STIGs, automate tasks with Python/Bash, and collaborate across cyber defense teams to support Authority to Operate packages.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
• 4+ years of DoD/intelligence/federal mission experience
• Experience configuring enterprise server hardware, storage, and networking equipment
• Proficiency administering enterprise Linux (RHEL/ Rocky/ CentOS/ Ubuntu)
• Hands-on Docker and hypervisor experience (VMware ESXi, KVM)
• Automation scripting in Python and Bash
• Experience with Elastic Stack and telemetry tools
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification

Responsibilities

• Deploy and sustain bare‑metal servers, storage, and networking hardware
• Containerize and orchestrate workloads with Docker and VMs (ESXi/KVM)
• Harden and manage Linux systems per DoD STIGs
• Develop Python and Bash automation for health checks and patching
• Integrate network sensors and telemetry pipelines (Zeek/Suricata, Elastic Stack)
• Manage data telemetry ingestion and cluster health
• Coordinate with cyber defense operators and engineering teams
• Produce architecture docs and DoD ATO artifacts
