Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&T C) organization in Tucson, AZ. The role is 100% on-site at the Tucson campus, with duties spanning architecture, requirements, integration and verification of complex guided and autonomous systems.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, sensor and test teams to drive V‑lifecycle activities, lead verification reviews, and mentor engineers while maintaining strong cross-disciplinary communication with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
Engineering experience in autonomy, controls, robotics, navigation, embedded systems, EO/IR sensors, or real-time systems.
Masters or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop system and subsystem requirements for hardware and software elements.
Create system architectures and interfaces using MBSE tools (Cameo).
Lead system-level integration across hardware, software, controls and embedded tech.
Plan and execute verification and validation strategies for qualification testing.
Mentor engineers and lead technical reviews with leadership.
