Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer in North Charleston, SC. This on-site role requires relocation if you live outside the Charleston market, and you will be the technical authority for vulnerability assessment and RMF compliance.

You will engineer and secure Windows and RHEL systems, manage VMware/VDI, AD/GPOs, and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible), while supporting RMF activities and DoD/Navy requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with C4I systems focusing on systems engineering and cybersecurity support.
• DoD Secret/TS clearance with current SSBI/T5; TS/SCI desired.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Experience supporting Navy C4I environments and classified environments.
• VMware, Microsoft, or Linux certifications; strong scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and secure Windows and RHEL systems.
• Maintain baseline configurations and enforce security controls.
• Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter and support VDI.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
• Support RMF activities, POA&M development, and continuous monitoring.
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and DoD/Navy compliance.
