Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Intelligence Sectors, Cyber & Analytics Business Area. The role involves leading requirements derivation, creating system artifacts, and coordinating schedules with software developers and analysts to support national security missions.
The candidate should bring extensive SE experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with Agile practices, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Visio.
Qualifications
- 14 years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline; five years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Clearance requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience with DoD Certification/Accreditation processes and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Derive functional, system, and performance requirements.
- Develop various systems engineering artifacts (CONOPs, architecture diagrams, etc.).
- Develop schedules for features; Perform backlog grooming.
- Write or review documentation.
- Create various status reports.
