Medtronic plc is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions business in Mounds View, MN. The role leads complex, multidisciplinary medical-device programs across hardware, software, and disposables, guiding architecture, requirements, risk, and verification activities.

You will mentor teams, influence global programs, and collaborate with Marketing, Clinical, Human Factors, and field teams to translate stakeholder needs into robust system designs.

Formación

• Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience or 5+ with a Master's or 3+ with a PhD.
• Experience in medical-device or other highly regulated industries is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead systems engineering activities for complex medical-device programs and major changes.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical, Human Factors, and field teams to translate needs into system inputs.
• Define and maintain system architecture, interfaces, and performance budgets.
• Lead requirements development, allocation, and lifecycle traceability.
• Integrate risk considerations into design and verify risk controls.
• Establish verification and validation strategies and evidence plans.
• Plan architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical decision forums.
• Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and troubleshooting.
