Abbott in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join the Electrophysiology Systems Engineering team focused on advancing ablation technologies.

You will define system behavior, architecture, performance, and integration for next‑generation cardiac products, taking systems from concept to launch. The role requires 11+ years in complex electrical hardware, software and signal processing, plus 5+ years as a Systems Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 11+ years in complex systems.
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in medical devices or related fields.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Define system behavior, architecture, performance and integration for next‑gen ablation products.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to solve technical challenges and drive research initiatives.
• Develop design input requirements from user and business needs with stakeholder input.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate progress to Sr. Management.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and other regulatory requirements.
