Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in the Cardiac Rhythm Management group, based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area (Mounds View, MN). You will lead complex design programs, develop and validate implantable devices, and drive test environments and verification activities.

The role combines hardware, firmware, and system-level integration to deliver lifesaving medical technologies. Requirements include a Baccalaureate in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant

Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience with design, verification, and validation of Class III medical devices or similar regulated product.
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on complex design programs and lead teams of 5-10 electrical engineers.
• Design, develop, analyze, and debug analog and digital circuitry.
• Integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical designs into final product.
• Develop production test requirements and support manufacturing test applications.
• Support manufacturing sites including PCB and device assembly.
• Develop test environments including automation and emulation.
• Validation of test environments including method validation and non-product software validation.
• Mentor junior engineers.
