Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. On-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, you will work in a fast-moving environment requiring an Active Secret clearance (Top Secret possible later) and collaboration with cybersecurity experts.
Preferred candidates have a strong systems/software background, MBSE experience, and familiarity with DOD
Qualifications
- Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- ABET-accredited BS in a technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
