Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. The role involves software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.
Active Secret Clearance is required; US citizenship is necessary with potential for Top Secret later. Ten years of experience in software and systems engineering, especially with military avionic systems, is expected.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications and performance.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration and defect analysis.
- Support Agile and SAFe team processes and reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and support contractor proposals evaluations.
