Job summary

Amazon’s Leo Network Services team in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for a Sys Dev Engineer II to help build and operate a global terrestrial and satellite network, focusing on automation, telemetry, and reliability. You’ll work across space-based and ground systems to ensure customer connectivity and service quality.

You will collaborate with software, systems, and network teams, drive initiatives, and own problems from detection to resolution with a strong bias for action and customer impact.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline builds.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain processes, tooling to monitor and operate a global Service Provider network at scale.
• Develop proactive monitoring and alerting to improve network reliability and customer experience.
• Ensure systems are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
• Integrate with trouble ticketing, dashboards, metrics tools and services.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with software, systems, and network teams.
• Provide on-call incident response.
