Job summary

Amazon Leo Commerce seeks a Software Development Engineer to join the Customer Engagement Systems team, building telecom applications and services that power how customers order, activate, and manage broadband subscriptions.

You will design components at the intersection of satellite networking and customer-facing communications, participate in the full SDLC, and mentor teammates on software construction and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for customer ordering, billing, subscriber management, and notifications.
• Partner with the Satellite, Networks, and Security engineering teams to integrate Customer Engagement Systems with the core network.
• Design scalable components, services, and data models that support high-reliability communications workloads.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support, ensuring root causes of issues are identified and permanently resolved.
• Document system architecture and mentor teammates on how your software is constructed, operated, and maintained.
