Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Sr Engineering Manager - Systems Design for our Northridge Office. Onsite 4 days and 1 day remote. You will lead the design and development of medical device products or software systems, guiding integration of new concepts from design through market release.

The role emphasizes people leadership, strategic planning, and coordination with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery, with a focus on advancing innovative medical solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.
• Mastery level knowledge in a specific technical discipline with broad understanding of related areas.
• Degree requirements include a Baccalaureate degree and 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the design and development of medical device products or software systems.
• Oversees investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
• Directs development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
• Manages feasibility studies to determine capability of functioning as intended.
• Organizes coordination with outside suppliers and consultants for timely delivery.
