Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Sr R&D Engineering Manager for the New Ventures Group in the United States. The role leads engineering disciplines across systems, mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software to deliver emerging diabetes solutions.

You will guide technical strategy, partner with cross-functional teams, and influence senior leadership while growing a high-performing organization. Requirements include a bachelor’s in engineering with 7+ years of experience and 5+ years in management;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Advanced degree with substantial relevant experience and leadership exposure.
• Experience leading medical device product development programs.

Responsibilities

• Build the R&D infrastructure to support New Venture programs.
• Plan and lead the technical aspects of new product development from conception through commercialization.
• Lead the engineering team to assess feasibility and readiness for product integration.
• Define product and functional requirements and verify them through design reviews.
• Mentor and coach team members; contribute to IP portfolio development.
