Job summary

MiniMed in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for our Sustaining team. You will own circuit-level troubleshooting, design improvements, and fail-safe tests to ensure reliability of life‑changing diabetes devices.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with manufacturing partners, and drive root-cause investigations in a regulated medical device environment, contributing to safer, more reliable products.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with advanced degree.
• Experience with regulated medical devices and FDA/ISO standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex circuit-level issues.
• Develop electrical test systems for failure analysis and product improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and contract manufacturers to resolve issues and transitions.
