Job summary

MiniMed in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Sr R&D Engineering Manager for our New Ventures Group to drive technical strategy and lead cross-functional teams across systems, mechanical, electrical, firmware and software engineering.

You will mentor staff, shape product development from concept through commercialization, and collaborate with manufacturing, regulatory affairs and clinical teams to deliver innovative diabetes solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years in a managerial role.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy and cross-functional product development efforts.
• Experience with medical device product development is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Build and drive technical plans based on risk, architecture and verification activities.
• Lead engineering disciplines and coordinate with manufacturing, marketing, regulatory and quality.
• Mentor team members and contribute to IP portfolio and technical due diligence.
• Communicate risk and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
