Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Engineer in Systems Design & Implementation to lead the technical delivery of public safety software, including body cameras, in-car video and real-time command center systems at client sites.

You will bridge high-level system design with on-site deployment, own the technical solution, and collaborate with sales, PMs, engineering and product to ensure seamless integration and successful customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Public Safety software application system implementation experience.
• Computer hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP computer networking and design experience (wired and wireless).
• Ability to pass a background check and/or security clearance for a customer as necessary.
• This position is subject to working in CJIS security policy areas.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real time command center software.
• Serve as the technical solution owner of a project.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and solicit system implementation team for design.
• Conduct customer facing technical requirements discovery sessions for system configuration (Conference Call or In Person).
• Build relationships with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and key technical subject matter expert teams.
• Provide customer product training (in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain the infrastructure supporting wireless communications systems at Client site.
