Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Engineer for Systems Design & Implementation to lead the deployment of body cameras, in-car video, and real-time command center software for public safety clients. You will bridge high-level system design and on-site deployment, ensuring seamless wireless and evidence-management integration.

Responsibilities include owning the technical solution, delivering as-built documents, and coordinating with sales, PMs, engineering, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in Engineering, IT, Public Safety, or Military, or 8+ years experience.
• Ability to obtain government background clearance.
• 4+ years in public safety software system implementation.
• Experience with LTE modem/router networking.
• Strong technical writing for nontechnical audiences.
• Knowledge of CJIS Security Policy requirements.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video, and evidence management systems.
• Serve as the technical solution owner for projects.
• Provide as-built system documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and coordinate design with teams.
• Lead customer requirements discovery sessions.
• Collaborate with sales, PMs, engineering, and product teams.
• Provide customer product training.
• Survey, design, install, and maintain wireless infrastructure at client sites.
