Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks an Engineer III/Senior for System and Program Support to strengthen reliability of critical generation assets. You will lead condition assessment programs, develop monitoring strategies, and provide engineering leadership for emergent plant issues while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Role requires ABET-accredited engineering degree and 5+ to 8+ years of experience, with hybrid work and in-person collaboration at APS facilities.

Qualifications

• For Engineer III/Senior, a four-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited or IEA-recognized program is required.
• Engineer III requires 5+ years of engineering-related experience; Engineer Senior requires 8+ years.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset condition assessment programs for critical generation assets and HV infrastructure.
• Develop and implement condition monitoring, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Provide engineering support and leadership for emergent plant issues and reliability challenges.
• Analyze health data, test results, and trends to identify risks and corrective actions.
• Review engineering service provider design packages and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to define scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Prepare analyses, specifications, studies, and cost estimates to support operations and capital projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulators on projects and reviews.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership and business partners.
• Research new technologies and reliability opportunities; interface with external partners.
