Job summary

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer/Architect Lead to serve as the senior technical advisor to USMEPCOM leadership for systems engineering and innovation under ENLIST. The role designs solutions for complex applications, sysadmin, and network problems across development and testing environments.

The position focuses on enterprise architecture, cloud and data center modernization, secure integration, and executive-level technical communication with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Five years of enterprise IT architecture/engineering experience in ENLIST-like scope.
• One cloud security certification or one cloud-related technology certification.
• At least one year of executive-level briefings to senior personnel.
• Must possess a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical advice and executive-level briefings on architecture and modernization priorities.
• Develop enterprise solutions spanning applications, cloud, data centers, networks, storage and security.
• Prepare modernization roadmaps, gap analyses, milestones and measurable outcomes for Government updates.
• Guide network and data center modernization incl. SDN, SDDC, Zero Trust and COOP/DR.
• Design hybrid-cloud, HA, backup, and disaster-recovery solutions for scalability and service continuity.
• Perform requirements analysis, trade studies, and develop total cost ownership inputs.
• Support secure software/infrastructure integration and Agile/DevSecOps delivery.
• Integrate RMF controls and STIGs into designs and implementations.
• Support data platforms, analytics, and AI-ready data capabilities in coordination with teams.
• Maintain technical and interface documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
