Job summary

Confidential, a progressive investment management firm with a global footprint, seeks a Senior Systems Analyst for the Post-Trade Technologies team in Boston to support Trade Coordination and Trade Operations.

You will bridge traders and developers, own Post-Trade lifecycle challenges, and apply strong SQL skills to investigate production issues, optimize settlements, and SWIFT workflows.

Onsite work four days a week in the Boston area; Fridays are remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in an investment management firm.
• Experience with Post-Trade Settlement and SWIFT message lifecycle.
• Strong SQL skills to investigate production issues and reconcile data.
• Directly worked with traders, trade coordinators, and portfolio managers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for resolving settlement issues.

Senior Systems Analyst – Post-Trade Settlements (Boston)

Confidential, super progressive INVESTMENT Management firm with offices in 15+ countries.

Seeking an experienced I.T. (information technology) professional that will serve on the Post-Trade Technologies team and play a critical role in providing the technology platform and support for the firm’s global Trade Coordination and Trade Operations teams to processTrade Confirmations and Trade Settlements with brokers and custodians.

This Senior Systems Analystwill bridge the gap between actual traders/trade coordinators, and the software developers.

REQUIREMENTS

• MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst within a financial investment management firm like Fidelity, KKR, State Street, etc.
• MUST HAVE experience solving problems associated with “Post-Trade Settlement” (after the stock has been sold, where does the money go). Must have expertise in core trading operations and workflows, and building and enhancing trade settlement and SWIFT message lifecycle. When a settlement fails, you must know where to look to find and solve the problem.
• MUST HAVE strong technical, hands-on SQL skills with demonstrated experience writing queries against relational databases to investigate production issues, reconcile data across systems and uncover root causes.
• MUST HAVE directly worked with the end-users (Traders & Trade Coordinators & Portfolio Managers) – not just other IT people.
• Must have great interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems in sometimes difficult situations when a trade settlement fails.
• MUST HAVE a deep understanding of the Post-Trade lifecycle, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex operational challenges into scalable technology solutions.
• Must work onsite 4 days a week in Boston, MA area (Fridays from home).
