Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to support the Space Force Range Contract in California. You will configure infrastructure, manage system checks, and provide day-of-launch readiness.

The role requires 5+ years in IT, Linux/Windows, VMware, and security credentials; a Secret clearance is required. This position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to critical national missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military/IT equivalent required.
• 5+ years in computers, systems security, and networking.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of VMware, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Experience with Cisco IOS.
• Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Configure infrastructure software for launch prep and operations.
• Support Range System Validation.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly system checks.
• Manage user accounts and backups; create instructional aids.
• Provide Day of Launch management and ensure readiness.
