Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). The role involves assisting the Systems Engineering team with requirements management, architecture baselining, and T&E planning to ensure program continuity and success.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree, 0–2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel is required occasionally, with no frequent travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or similar field.
• 0–2 years of relevant systems engineering or related technical experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering processes across SFRC to ensure continuity.
• Assist in requirements management and baselining.
• Develop and manage architectural documents for LTRS baselines.
• Perform architectural analysis at system and subsystem levels.
• Support Test & Evaluation planning, execution, and reporting for LTRS modifications.
• Assist in requirements decomposition and allocation from system to component levels.
• Assist in acquisition doc development (SOO, SOW, PWS) and RFP development.
• Support launch operations as required.
