Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Range Systems Section Supervisor for the Space Force Range Contract to lead the O&M workforce in Data Handling and Range Safety, ensuring procedures and performance standards are met.

The role requires coordinating personnel schedules, safety, training, and compliance with government standards, while providing technical guidance and ensuring readiness of facilities and equipment for mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business management discipline, or four years of direct experience
• Five or more (5+) years of experience with operation and maintenance of instrumentation, facilities, and infrastructure with at least five years at a supervisory level
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with multiple customer organizations, local government, Amentum management, and employees
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize work despite changing schedules and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of local and remote environment range missions
• Knowledge of equipment manuals, technical orders, product specification sheets, blueprints, drawings, and engineering concepts
• Knowledge of the type of operations, calibrations, and maintenance of the instruments supporting Vandenberg Space Force Base mission
• Proficient at electronic, mechanical, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining system equipment
• Must be comfortable with managing a multi-cultural workforce
• Must be comfortable with operating a lean, high-performance organization within government provided facilities
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce through supervisors and technicians for O&M in Data Handling and Range Safety
• Ensure personnel are trained, qualified per contract standards and CBAs
• Develop and maintain procedures with deviations via root cause analysis
• Schedule personnel to meet contract and mission requirements and recalls for emergencies
• Monitor performance and provide feedback
• Prepare and ready infrastructure and facilities for missions
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is timely
• Document outages and maintenance per standards
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies
• Manage materials and inventory per standards
• Align HR policies with operations
• Support quality program and process improvements
• Provide technical advice on operability/maintainability and planning
• Other duties as assigned
